Inspired by This thread and Slippy's multi-phased experiments, I would like to suggest a challenge of a different sort.
THE RULES
Two contestants will battle out in a 5 round competition of photoshop skills and image manipulation. An image will be selected and posted. The original will be sent via e-mail to each competitor who will then do his/her best to alter the image. Anything goes, but the original image must be at least identifiable after manipulation. The results will be posted and voted on. The edited non-compressed winning image would become the background for the next round. Each contestant would have 24 hours to perform the manipulation. If the contestant is unable to complete the edit within 24 hours, they would lose the round to their competitor and the next round would begin. This would continue for 5 rounds with the overall winner decided by number of rounds won. In the event of a tie, total votes would be tallied and the winner decided in that manner.
Phase 1 - The contestants
If you're interested in this challenge, pick your sparring partner and PM them to see if they are interested. If they accept, post your name and your competitor (you vs. them) to this thread. Once we have several names "in the hat", we can move to phase 2 (competitor selection).
Anybody game?

What is a sparring partner? Your opponent? (Sorry, I'm not a sports guy :)

Sparring is a term used in boxing, karate or any other one on one sport. Sparring is a practice fight.

Am I reading it correctly?
Player 1 photoshops the original image and that is their turn over with.
Player 2 then photoshops the photoshopped version that player 1 done.
If so, I personally think it would be better if both players photoshopped the original version at the same time and the best image wins.
But what do I know?

Hey, that sounds like a great idea. I'm game for that. How about each contestant gets 12 hours to work on the same image, the winning image from that round becomes the background image for the next round. Does that work better?
