My wife deserves credit for this idea.

There's so many entries that are a play on words anyways, lets just make a challenge out of it.

Photographically express a Play on words or pun: use of words, usually humorous, based on (a) the several meanings of one word, (b) a similarity of meaning between words that are pronounced the same, or (c) the difference in meanings between two words pronounced the same and spelled somewhat similarly.

(futher or otherwise)

A humorous substitution of words that are alike in sound but different in meaning (see double-entendre), as in this passage from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll:

âAnd how many hours a day did you do lessons?â said Alice, in a hurry to change the subject.

âTen hours the first day,â said the Mock Turtle, ânine the next, and so on.â

âWhat a curious plan!â exclaimed Alice.

âThat's the reason they're called lessons,â the Gryphon remarked: âbecause they lessen from day to day.â

Sounds like a fun challenge.

So, for example, one of the several shots of a certain utensil stuck into asphalt in the current challenge, with the title "Fork in the Road", would be a spot-on entry to this challenge? Even though it's not humorous? I'm not sure the word "humor" should even be IN the challenge description; why limit it?

Great idea!

Sounds like a great idea. It should be fascinating to see how this works in Afrikaans, Islendsku or Dutch.

Bring it on! You DO realize puns are my native language, right? ;-)

Oh yes, I believe one of your entries sparked the idea probably. :o)

Count me in :-)

Edit: just a thought --- wouldn't it be fun to not have a title and let the comments be what the voter thought it was?

Ermm, to hard for the non-english speakers: puns and stuff. Could get a little messy

Just use something from the camera manual -- I'm sure there's many hilarious phrases in there.

It was hilarious in 'The Muppet Movie'...
