| Close, I think you mean "twisted." Looks pretty painful! Better sit around and eat ice cream until tomorrow. ;) Hope it feels better soon. |

Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation
So, as mk suggested, lay around with your foot above your heart, ice it for twenty minutes every few hours, and if you have one, wrap it in an ace bandage for some compression.
Stay off it, eat lots of ice cream
Someone may know better, but the jury is out for anti-inflammitories. I say take some, but others may say wait until you see the doctor.
Oh yes, and don't forget a nice glass of wine (not with the ice cream!) and/or chocolate :) |

Looks exactly like I thought it would. Pidge gives good advice for RICE. You likely stretched/tore the tendons that run down the outside of your leg and attach to the lateral aspect of your foot. You did this by "rolling" on your foot.
I'm sure your doctor will tell you to use support for the next even 6 months when you play (brace, etc). Even after this injury "feels better" your tendons are still looser than usual and you are at an increased risk for a reinjury. |

Oh, and somewhere else, someone stated if you get physio therapy, do your exercises!!
I heartily agree, even when they feel like they aren't doing anything! |

Funny you say not to mix ice cream and wine... I just found a recipe for Port Wine Ice Cream... |

| if the bottom of your foot is black tomorrow morning, something is broken, if not, just a bad sprain and perhaps some cartilidge (sp?) damage. |

I fractured my ankle and and pulled two ligaments in my ankle a couple of weeks ago playing soccer.
they threw me ina walking cast with crutches for a couple of weeks, and now im just in the walking cast.
walking cast is a big boot thing that is amazing..lots of support very nice.

Interesting composition, good use of DOF. Lighting looks a bit harsh. |

Not necessarily so...
I have badly sprained my ankle twice and the lower side of my foot went completely black! Got it x-rayed and there were no breaks.
It's right though that those tendons will be weak/loose for some time, so if you do play sport of any kind - be careful! |

So I just came back from the Doc & the hospital for taking X-ray photos.
They said it is not broken, but they can't tell whats on also. So the doc will put some bandage on it, and give me walk-bars to move around. Perhaps if it's not that big of a bump next week, they can be more precise i hope to tell what's going on.
thanks for the support ;)
