Hey,
today I re-styled my site.
What do you think? Please be honest, because I'm not sure about the position of the photos!
Thanx in advance!

i like the berry alot.
The images, especially the words are taking two long to load for what they are. I would suggest resaving them in ps either as gif or jpg using the save for web feature. You wont miss the change in quality by using medium or high for just words.
I also suggest adding your name and © to the page somewhere where it will appear consitantly on all pages.
A website is to get your name out there, and yet we do not see your name either on the index page or while viewing the pictures. |

okay i see hanneke is your name.
But consider this - i am an ignorant web browser and i did not make that connection. I thought it was some style of art or something. Others might also not know to click on it to see a biography.
Still recomment a © anyways. |

I noticed the long loading-time for the words too when I checked it at another PC. thanx for the tip, I'll change them as soon as I can to web-images!
about the © sign; yep, you're right about that too ;)
still have to think about changing the "hanneke" part. I understand it's a bit difficult for somebody from overseas to know it's a name. but, when I get the © sign on all pages with my name standing with it, do you think it would be more obvious?
thanx so much mesmeraj! |

I would say that when you go into a portfolio category e.g people, that the image should start at the start not the end. I have to click the back button to get to the next image!

I know Alex, still working on that... my site used to be a photoblog, I use pivot and I have to wait for an answer on the pivot-forum to change it.
wavelength: what do you mean? |

Nice job! I like the gallery, but (this is just my personal taste), I like to see thumbnails. Were they there and I missed them? I know probably not everyone is a fan of them, but it might give people a view of your diversity instead of having to go through pictures pic by pic.
Just a suggestion
Good work!

| i agree once you get the © notice up, the hanneke part will make sense. But without the referance, those of us used to names like tom and jane probbaly wont make the connection for the bio. |

ok, changed the text-images to web-images, added the © sign at the bottom (background-image :D)
about the thumbs...: I know, that really would look fantastic... but I really don't know how to make that work with pivot... any suggestions? |

really nice layout and great font !!
While most people still use IE, website is not working correctly in Firefox (my default browser), the images are coming below the menu and covering the background image.
Another suggestion, the background image is great, but when viewing the gallery it becomes a distraction (being red and bright, sometimes brighter than the actual gallery image)...that could be a good place for thumbnails when in portfolio without cluttering your page too much.

thanx vikas, I'm gonna try to get everything locked and fixed, so everything stays on it's place. probably that's gonna happen tomorrow / thursday.
about the background image, I could make it more transparent on every page except the index. hmm. thanx for your suggestion. when I'm able to create thumbs, I'll keep that spot in mind ;) |

| uhm, oh well, coding is a lot too much to say. i use Adobe Golive. I know some things like css & a tiny little php, but I really need the what-you-see-is-what-you-get-thing ;) |

| i like the website good job.. i do find it a bit annoying that when you want to see a new picture one must hit the left arrow.. i agree with the bg image comment and although i like the font its also a bit distracting... |
