Wow, my first thread. Anyways, I'm going to Toronto, and only have one day off so I was wondering if anyone had tips for such a venture. First of all, I might need to buy a lens :) second I need an exemplary cup of coffee and third what scenes could I cover to take some shots in such a short amount of time ΓΆ€“ with a new lens and a cup of coffee in my hand? :)
Please, if you have any suggestions, that would be brilliant. :D |

You could go up the world's tallest building, the CN Tower, 553 metres. Taller than the Taipei, Petronas, Sears, or any of those other pansy buildings. You can walk around that entire area.
Do a mapquest or Google Earth to get your bearings, everything is fairly compact.
ralphnev hit the best spots. You can go down Queen St. to get to Spadina.
Here's another link for you: //toronto.ca/

Cameras are fine, just don't pack them full of explosives.

Sorry I didn't have any time to meet anyone. I had a great time, although I didn't see much, and the prime rib at the keg simply made my day :) thanks for the tips. |

Spadina past the university and museum are fantastic, if you look sout, its skyline after skylineshot. And the architecture opposite the nice shops is awesome.
One of my favorite places to photograph is yonge and dundas at night. Canadian times square. Right outside the sears dept. store.
and make sure that you stop into the volo cafe' or the beer bistro for a drink. Volo is my favorite place North America. its a hole in the wall amazing beer place with italian food. You will not be disappointed. Its on yonge, right about 360's or so.

The other thread is in the member discussion area. That's been brought up so it may be moved so non-members can see it. |
