First of all I have to say thank you to all the voters who gave me a red ribbon. I know many of you thought the 'insets' were not a true triptych, but I decided that there were going to be plenty of straight trips and I wanted to stand out a little.

I had a more 'standard' backup triptych taken on Lindisfarne in Northumbria for which I drove 400miles and got up at 4:00am.

Finally came down on the side tof the Peak District one though.

Thanks again.

Good job on the ribbon, Falc. I'm quite jealous but happy enough w/ a 7th place finish. My highest ranking and score so far... woohoo!

here's my outtake... same three leaves, though completely different concept:

Wow! There were some great images in this challenge. I feel fortunate to break a six with mine. Congrats to all! I had thought about this one, but I never know what everyone else will like, so nowadays I just enter the one I like the best.

Some of you asked me to upload a version of the main image without the insets. I uploaded it to my pbase account in the Peak District directory.

Here it is

This was a beautiful triptych and well deserved its ribbon! Couldn't fault it in any way and loved the slightly different viewpoint of the idea.
Sorry I couldn't vote on this one - family problems took me south again.Thank you for your lovely comment on my very inferior effort!
Regards
