Drag and drop them into the Adobe>>Photoshop>>Plugins folder...then restart Photoshop and you should be good to go. :)

Make sure the CS2 is closed before you start.

And be sure these are actually plugins, not "actions". "Gothic Glow", for example, is an action. Actions go in a different folder. Not sure what it's called in CS2.

Actions go into the folder called "Presets." Go Adobe>>Photoshop CS2>>Presets>>Photoshop Actions and you will be all set! :)

Thanks, Laurie! Same destination folder as PS 7.0...

Hey, Laurie, why not also explain to her how to make the action "live" in CS2? In 7.0, at least, you need to navigate to find it and get it on the active list of actions once you've downloaded it. May be different in CS2, I donno...

To make it "live," on the actions palette, you click the arrow in the top right corner. It will bring up a menu where you will select "Load Action." This will open up your Actions folder, and you can choose the action to load. You have to load them one at a time. :)

Because you have to browse and load them to make them active, actions can be located anywhere. This is true in PS7 and CS2. The advantage of putting all your collected actions into a separate folder outside your PS main folder is they will not get lost when you upgrade versions. You will, however, have to "reactivate" them after the upgrade.
