OK, I'm a newbie. What is this 'going for brown' of which you speak? ;) It sounds like it could be, um, a really gross reference. Is it?
I'm at a 5.0556 with 17 votes. I'm just hoping to be above a 4; this is my first challenge and I entered something I liked, but not necessarily something I expect the rest of the world to like so much (especially when the rest of the world is used to images that have been photoshopped within an inch of their lives, and I lack skill in that arena. Trying to learn to take good photographs, before I learn to make ehh photographs look better.) |

I am headed for the brown .. and on that fine note I'm turning off my scores, making a note that I can go bigger than expected and going to bed .. best of luck to everyone .. the entries are awesome and I've already learned a ton from just viewing .. hoping to get my voting done over the next 2 days and Jutilda I am trying to find yours to give it a 10!! LOL |

A 5.25 and going up with one very nice comment so far! I'm pleased with that. It can only go up from here. I can't really see it going down. :)

Well I'm happy with that! I did a really rush job both taking the photos and editing them this afternoon. Looking at my photo now I realize how much I don't like it and wish I had more time to work on it. I think I could have come up with a winner. |

I'm with ya JPR! I just had a great photo op, but just had a couple hours to put something together. Its at 6.5 but I had such grand visions?

I just hope nobody is voting lower on images that aren't so big because they were stuck with the 640 length limit and weren't tailored to be height reliant.

Rikki, you've had a rollercoaster ride. I, on the other hand, have been steady around 5.0 (as low as 4.9xxx and as high as 5.17xx) I predict the final score of about 5.2, with 2 comments. Looking at all other entries, I can see how voters will just click on 5, leave no comments, and proceed to look at admittedly much better entries.
Back to voting, it has been a real feast for the eyes. Congratulations, DPC members!

I was well aware of the flaws in my entry and in a last minute redo at 10:30, I skipped a step that wasn't gonna work out sending me back, almost to the begining (coloring and curves issues)...so I gave up. Too tired. I had plenty of time but plugging away at five tryptichs in one day is more than any man can handle.

I loved the idea that popped in my head, but had trouble with the execution. I can't wait to ask for help after the challenge is over..LOL I'd give mine a 9 or 10 on the creativity scale...but a 4 or 5 on a technical scale.
