I've been taking some photos at my local hockey rink for a while now and displaying them on the internet for fellow supporters but at the bar tonight someone suggested that at the end of the season I sell some prints. this got me thinking about some of the other photos I've taken and how to maybe sell those too.

How would I go about this since most of my photography is taken on the street so there's no model release?

My gallery is here if anyone wants to see the sort of work I do and has any idea as to how I could sell prints without having to give most of the proceeds away. Thanks.

To be honest, and I hope that is what you are looking for, I would try to get a few more action shots in my hockey portfolio before I worried about selling prints. Horse before the buggy and all that.

Thanks for that, I should have pointed out that there's already two other photographers at the rink who sell action shots which is why I've been doing more character shots. I wasn't even thinking of selling them but some people have asked for some which was what got me thinking about it.

I have a pro account at smugmug.com, and have sold tennis tournament photos there. With a pro account you can set your own print prices. The pro account costs just under a hundred bucks, but has paid for itself in print sales.

If you use my referral code, you can get yourself a discount. Try Smugmug free for 7 days and get a discount on your sign-up fee!

Should also add that the print quality is freaking phenomenal!
