Well...call it karma if you like, luck, being in the right place at the right time...whatever you like...BUT...it did not take long for what went around to come back around.
Today while walking to the post office from my truck which was parked in a lot I never use cause it is always full, the wind is blowing really hard. Leaves and papers are swirling all over the place. As soon as I round a corner that cuts off the wind, literally right in front of me, dropping to the ground for lack of wind is a Win For Life scratch off lottery ticket that had not been scratched off. No one in sight chasing the ticket. I pick it up and while in the Post office scratch it off figuring I will throw it in the recycle bin with my junk mail. But it never made it. It was a winner! Ready for this (and remember this makes the 3rd if things come in threes as some believe) $2300.00 total winnings on the ticket. Yes, that is NOT a typo - two thousand three hundred dollars!
So...after posting this I am off to search out the best prices on the lense I want and a portable sotrage device.
Any suggestions on the portable device? I was thinking a FlashTrax. I would rather have one of these than more memory cards or is there a down side to this line of thought?
Either way, MACRO lense here I come! |

I knew the wind was strong today, but to carry a MA scratch off ticket from SoCal to Williamstown is incredible. It is a wonder no buildings were damaged. |

Just Amazing...
I have heard good things about the PD70X as far as speed & price compared to others (no screen for viewing though). It's basically a laptop hard drive wrapped in a case with a little firmware to do the copy.
It's on my list before the next long-trip because carting around a laptop is just a PITA. |

Umm, must've been a freak updraft that carried it up into the jetstream, and blew it across the country. Ya, that's it. Man, what are the odds?
Edit: Congrats on the win. Your previous good deeds paid off for you.

Neato!
And if you want to buy a Flashtrax, buy mine...$300USD.
I want to get an Epson P-2000 or P-4000, which is what I should have bought in the first place!
(so I guess that's what I recommend)... |

| Let's see, you found a wallet with $1,134.00 in it and returned it to the owner, then you found a lottery ticket for almost exactly double that amount, is that right? I'm sorry, but that sounds a bit too far fetched to me. |

Don't forget I found 100.00 cash before I found the wallet. Can't show you the ticket - drove to the lottery office, had it validated, got a check from them, depositied it in my account, ordered lense. I will be more than happy to post pictures taken with the lense afer it arrives on Saturday.
And sorry to disappoint you...but the one thing I am always, under every circumstance, is honest! You can call me a liar, but you are wrong. And quite frankly, I don't appreciate being called a liar.
I ordered the EF-S 60 mm f/2.8 - so essentially a 96mm 1:1 macro lense. I have seen this lense and seen a lot of pics taken with it and I just like it. And it is the first prime I have.

As far as I know, nobody called you a liar. I know that I certainly didn't. All I said was that your story sounds a bit too far fetched for me. It is far fetched. I told your little story to half a dozen people in my office, and every one of them said, "Yah right. Tell me another one." Please note, I did not say that you're lying or that it didn't happen exactly as you describe it, but you could also be trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes in order to perpetrate a practical joke.

Um, that would mean that you think he's lying. Lying with a purpose is still lying.
And what exact practical joke can you play online in this manner d ya thing. I don't get it. Unless you just think he's trying to get attention? That's more plausible than a joke.
