Any tips on getting decent motion blur to show speed using my finepix 2800z without manual override or spot-editing? I can get it in generally low light situations but not enough to control the effect to any great extent.

| Do you want foreground or background to blur? If the latter, then you can use a panning technique. |

| I was able to get this panned shot with my point-and-shoot on auto-everything. It is cropped way in--I'm not that good a shot! |

You could use a neutral density (ND) filter to reduce the available light. This will force a slower shutter speed.
A cheap ND filter are your sunglasses, or perhaps a couple of pairs in front of each other. Combining this with relatively low light might slow the shutter down enough (although I don't know the slowest shutter for your camera specifically). |
