My flash will arrive tomorrow (Thursday). If anyone out there can tell me "what to do first" for settings etc...you will allow me to get a jump on using this toy. I will be taking some indoor "office" shots and maybe some outdoor (in the shade) closeups of flowers etc...

Any advice for the first time? I will be using the D70 Nikon.

Thanks,

Start out using it on TTL mode and just shot away. The camera should communicate with the flash all the needed inof to get well balanced shots. Since you will be in an office maybe use the defuser. After that read the manual at your leasure and then you can start trying other stuff. I think you will be impressed on how well it works in TTL.

Thanks...do you have any shots in your portfolio that used the SB800 or 600?
