Kenko has been around for a fairly long time. i've never used the lenses but the filters are very good.

I use a kenko teleconverter and extension tubes and I'm very happy with both...

This was shot with a 70-200 4L through a Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 x1.4... I didn't loose any sharpness as far as I can tell. I think there various levels of Kenko TCs... Can't speak for the Clip-ons (screw on attachment) but the Kenko Pro line uses Hoya glass.
