I'm sure some of you have seen this before...

Follow these steps.

1- Go to //www.google.com

2- Type in "Failure", without the quotes

3- Instead of hitting "Search" hit "I'm feeling Lucky"

4- See what comes up!

"miserable failure" works well also. haven't tried that in a while, but that's because I've been way too angsty about it.

This is so great. I have to email this to my family. I have to stop laughing so hard though. I am finding it difficult to type. Thanks for sharing.

This is so obviously a little "practical joke" from some whiny liberal weenie at Google, as there is no mention of the word "failure" anywhere in the text.

No wonder Google stock is rising, they have a very smart search engine.

It's actually got nothing to do with google, per se. Its a trick called Google Bombing. And, its pretty old news. I think there are at least two other threads about this.

Notice that the second entry is Michael Moore - evidence that the opposition is catching up.

Nothing to do with Google, it's the result of a blog-based campaign that exploited the way Google ranks pages.

Google (along with all the other search engines) spend an awful lot of time and money trying to prevent people exploiting their engines in this way, so it's a bit unfair (and tin-foil-hat wearing) to suggest that it's some evil lefist plot on the part of Google!

(not to mention that second in the list is, I believe, Michael Moores page)

edit: bah, scottk beat me to it!

For once, I was more succinct. :)

Seems like there was another thread about this a couple of weeks ago.
