Okay...cruising through this ps elements book. I see there is a way to change settings so that "plugins" are found by the program as you start up the program. I'm assuming that plug ins are generally different effect type filters and actions? Where do I find such extra things? Are they free or do you pay for them?
After I get one do I just put it in a directory someplace and then through the settings direct the program to that file? Thanks for any help. |

There are many free plugins, Judy. Flaming Pear has a set and Virtual Photographer as well. I download right to the effects file in PS Elements 3.0 (it was the same for 2.0 so If you have 4.0 I can only assume it would be the same):
Hard Drive: Disc C:
Program Files:
Adobe:
Photo Shop Elements 3.0:
Plugins:
Effects Save
I've purchased a few, Buzz Simplifier, Flaming Pear Filters and NeatImage, and won some others on photo sites and they all come up at the bottom of the filter drop down from the top menu.

I was planning on asking this in a new thread, but does anyone have or know where I can get the gothic glow .atn file that will work with PS-E?
I have not been successful on google or in the forums search.

I had some actions running in my PS Elements 2.0. Apparently there is a way to do it. I'm not sure which site I used, but here is one that shows apparently how to write and install actions for PS Elements 3.0 and referencing a new book for other things you can do not in the regular manual...reminds of the book The Hidden Power of Photo Shop Elements:
Actions for Photo Shop Elements 3
