I saw this as an assignment in a photography class and thought it sounded like an interesting challenge:

Walk out your door, choose any direction and walk in as straight a line as possible 35 steps. Stop. Choose another direction and walk 6 steps (in as straight a line as possible). Stop. Choose another direction and again walk 6 steps (straight as possible). Without moving another step, create the most interesting photograph you can at that spot.

I gave it a try. I may have cheated a bit because I went back to my door a couple of times, but here is my shot.

(also a first go at RAW)

Lets see your 47 steps! :)

		| I live in suburbia, so If I use my back door I will be on a fence(or real close by) if I go out the front door it would land me in the street or a neighbors yard, not sure how good an idea that would be...for me(I could find somthing neat to shoot more than likely) |

It will work wherever you are...just remember that you take the steps in a straight line *as much as possible.* If you have to stay off private property, well then you just do the best you can.

lol. As far as i can figure if i took those steps from my front door, there is only one direction i could head, and that would take me straight off the edge of a cliff. Idnic is trying to kill me!!!

I fell off no cliffs, was accosted by no godzillas, saw no woodies. This is the side of the sauna. Interesting? Not really. Texture-laden? Yeah.

Thanks. I could have done better had I a better eye. As it is, I'll use the two I have until something better comes along.

It is a fun little challenge, I think I'm going to try this a few more times (at least) :) |

I do Believe the original post was meant as a personal challenge, not a DPC challenge suggestion..
How on earth could you ever have this as a challenge and know if the Photographer really took 47 steps? lol
Unless we are going on the "Merit" system.. :) |
