I uploaded my 1st 10 photos for review. It took about 4 days for them to approve 8 of the 10. In less than 1 day after approval I already had downloads.

Congrats! I have about 10 up there too, and so far I think just one download. I joined Dreamstime and BigStock Photo too, all in high hopes of funding an equipment expansion.

I congratulate you, and wish you luck.
Here's my experience -
I was on Shutterstock for 6 months - sold $22 worth of photos.
Uploaded the same photos to Alamy - after res-ing them up to 48 meg files in PS (made an action, PS did it for me).
Sold my first photo after a month, for $347.
I'm not on Shutterstock anymore. I know it's hard to imagine someone would pay you that much, I had the same fears. But they do - and it's MUCH more fun!

res them up in photoshop and send them in - they might take them! I've cropped my photos liberally and ressed them up and they were accepted.
Just try - it's mo better |

I've been following it for some time and I think I may give it a shot. I had some photos on shutterstock for about two months and I pulled all of them and closed my account. I figured my photos are worth more than $.20. Anybody's photos are worth more than $.20. |
