Perhaps I'll learn over time to think before I react (but I doubt it - and kinda hope not), but I posted the absolute "virgin" versions of my shots prior to processing. Perhaps one day, I'll become hardened to the realities of life (so - to - speak), but I don't want to misrepresent myself by implying that I was actually present when certain occurances happened or certain occurances didn't - actually, by making that statement I think I just did... LOL so nevermind!

EDIT: And if you followed that, then you're WAAAY ahead of me! LOL

I think it's interesting to see what "canvas" people had to work with when doing these kinds of projects. Thanks for sharing those, Jimmy.

Regarding the new batch of images, Honestly, I don't like the processing as well as the first batch. IMO, you have pushed the processing bar further this time, and I liked them before. But, I like the changes you made in the shots themselves.

I can just imagine your family, shaking their heads with a sour look on their faces!! hahaha! They are a bit unsettling, but I feel there is still a 'nice, clean' soul in there underneath all the rough nasty grunge. Almost like a battle between good and evil happening right there in front of us.

So, all in all, I feel that you've accomplished your mission.

I haven't really been following/reading this thread (shame! shame!) but I spent about a minute or two putting up a couple versions on one of your shots.

These are just a little grungy but I wanted to offer my input as to how I would edit this shot were it my own.

Thanks tsheets - yes, my family has had a *ahem* rather unsettled response to this series of images, but I think they're starting to see that I was trying to create a certain mood. :-) However, I am planning a VERY upbeat series next though - that's for sure! Gotta show some sunshine and happy faces again!

Thanks Tranquil - I really like your treatments a lot too! I actually like the four panels as a unit as well.

Thanks for everyone's feedback - it's been great.
