Announcing the LOST drinking game:

Take a drink whenever:

* Desmond says "Aye" (that will be enough right there)

* Three names are said in a row:
Kate (questioningly): "Jack?"
Jack (angrily): "Kate!"
Kate (with furtive look): "Jack..."

* Jack's Party of Five tattoo makes an appearance.

* Sawyer uses a nickname.

* Juliette gives her patented "Puppy Dog" look.

* A reunion occurs on the beach with a musical overlay.

Feel free to add your own...

no need for anymore, all the players have long died of alcohol poisoning by now.

Here's another question that came to me last night.

Didn't Ben tell Mike and Walt that they should drive their boat in a certain direction and a boat would pick them up. I want to say he said the boat was 80KM out or something. Could this be the same boat that our mysterious parachutist came from?

Sounds very LOSTish for it to turn out that Ben knows about the boat.

Last night was just a big setup for the finale. Story was more about Charlie and him coming to grips with dying. I knew as soon as there was air down there that there were going to be people there also. I was yelling, "SHUT UP!!" when he was yelling I think Juliet truly thought the station was flooded. About Desmond...maybe in his vision Charlie really dies by drowning...but since he was going to sacrifice himself then Charlie knocked him out the outcome changed. Maybe Charlie had to come to grips with his own death...writing that letter, giving up the family ring...maybe that's what changed the future. The people in the station are Ben's. I don't think Charlie will die. Jack can still be trusted...and really think Juliet has turned on Ben. . I predict Jin will die and Bernard will be wounded if not dead, I think Bernard has more story to tell though. Locke is definitely alive...we'll see the flash backs of him crawling out of that ditch next season...beginning of next season might start on his eye, that would be funny.

They so should have killed Ben when they had the chance...

They had no idea who he was...if they had I'm sure Hurley would have probably put the bullet in his head.

WTF????????

and Charlie :( i cried real tears!

who was the "funeral" for? my first thought was saywer, but i bet kate is with sawyer and that's why she had to secretly meet jack. the other thought on the funeral was locke, who wouldn't really have anyone to show up at the funeral, but i'm not sure why locke would have left the island. hmm... i'm gonna need to watch it again.

I'm just now catching up on Tivo but I thought the same thing when I saw that. Also, why in the hell are they wasting explosives on trees just to show they have it to the rest of the group? Would they not believe Jack had he simply showed him a stick of dynamite?

Dude don;t bother. They dont tell you who died. I watched the key scenes again & they dont tell.

Did anyone catch the trick they tried to pull to get us to believe that the other off-island scenes were a flashback? The part in the hospital where he says if he is more drunk than his father than the other dr could fire him. What a jip!

boooo. That's all I got to say.

***SPOILER****

What confused me the most about the "flashforward" was Jack telling the other doctor to get his father down there so they could see who was drunker. He also had a prescription written from his father's pad. Umm, isn't Chritian dead?

That episode was almost satisfying enough to hold me over until January.

My daughter, the spaz, who had a total nerd-gasm when Walt appeared, has decided that the dead guy is Michael. And that's why no one went to the funeral.

I knew Christian wasn't dead all along, there are so many reasons why. I started a massive debate over at 4815162342.com that actually made it to the writers.

Every time you think you might finally understand something, they go and drop 4 new twists in the mix. Geez. It's a good show, but I hope next year is the last season. I'm ready for this ride to be over and all explained.

And WTF was the end? A flash forward? If so, I don't get the line about his father either. And I also thought the funeral was for Sawyer.

Guess you didn't know it's only halfway over.

I took Jack saying get my father down here as him being high. Even if his father was alive he wouldn't be working at the hospital (no license).

Kate had to be met in secret because she's still a criminal. Don't call as in don't give away her location.

Personally I think the funeral was for Ben. That's why Kate said "why would I go?". Jack went because that was the last link to the island in that coffin.

Jack had nothing and no one when he crashed on the island. Then on the island he was a leader and a hero. People cared about him and respected him. Once home people went on with their lives. Kate went into hiding (likely with Sawyer to help her) and Jack was left all alone with nothing.

Charlie had more than enough time to go outside the door and THEN close it. Pointless death but I was tired of his whining so whatever.

Desmond nearly died in the hatch implosion and then became clairvoyant. John nearly died in the pit and then told Jack "you're not supposed to do this" like he had "seen" what Jack was supposed to do but Jack wasn't doing it.

Jack's beard looked real but his mustache was ridiculous.

Why would Penny call the underwater station and what are the odds it was set up to receive her signal? How did she just HAPPEN to send a transmission to that exact location at that moment unless she is somehow tied to it? Does she just spend all her time sending "hello, are you there" messages all over the world 24X7?

I guess I won't know anything until the short season in February. Even then I'm not so sure.

Here's what I think if anyone cares. Yes I believe Locke was told what was going to happen through Waltâ€Â¦which I'm not sure if he was really there or not. If you remember Miss Clue asked Michel if he had ever seen Walt where he knew he shouldn't be. So I am on board with Locke and think he knows the truth about the boat and other things. I don't think it is Sawyer inside the coffin because I believe he is with Kate because they had a baby. Charlie had enough time to run out the door and tell Desmond they had to get out of there and swim back to the boatâ€Â¦they made it down there with a lung full of air, going up is easier. The flash forward was crazyâ€Â¦I didn't know till the car pulled up and I thought Juliet or Kate was going to get out, and it was Kate. About Penny transmiting that signal...I think maybe once the jamming was stoped she started to recieve insegnifican signals from they area they had been looking at thanks the Desmond turning the key. I think she has a good idea where it came from but do to the jamming and the "cloaking" of the island she couldn't find it. Some bad stuff is about to happen next yearâ€Â¦I can't wait.

There are going to be three more seasons...sorry breadfan35.

Let's all remember we have a long time to wait. Season doesn't start until February...

I also think the coffin was Ben's.

The flash forward doesn't actually tell us that everybody made it off the island, maybe only Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Just pondering.

I agree that the Jack's dad thing is confusing.

Charlie could have easily not died, but maybe he had resigned himself. Heck, unless Billy Boyd was tired of the show (quite possible), there's no guarantee anybody is ever dead on LOST.

Why would Mr. Eyepatch (his name escapes me) decide it's OK to detonate a hand grenade outside the control room when his mission was to keep the jammer running? Seems weird to me.

He asked that woman if the machine would continue to work if the station was flooded, she said yesâ€Â¦so he thought that was the best way to secure it.

I think Charlie played back what Desmond had said to him before, "If things don't happen exactly as I see them in my vision then the outcome will be different." OK he might not have said that verbatim, but I think it's the idea. That is why Charlie didn't save himself...it was his destiny.

but then the question is why ben ever wanted to leave the island. ben is a possibility, i guess... kate's disinterest made me wonder if it was juliet. (edit: hmm... but it was supposed to be a man that died. there goes that idea)

i agree... the way jack was saying stuff made me think that people were given a choice whether or not to leave, and some people chose to stay and jack was now regretting his decision to leave.

Lost Easter Eggs has a big discussion about the newspaper clipping and what it means. There are screen shots and everything. Someone noted the date on the Newspaper was April 7, 2007. I searched the LA Times archives and sure enough there is an article which matches one of the phrases "shortly after 4 a.m." that can be seen. I really don't think there was any "clue" there and they were actually using a real newspaper as a prop.

EDIT: I don't know why I read some of those forums. televisionwithoutpity is having a discussion about the significance of Walt looking older. Ummmmm, I'm going out on a limb here, but my guess is the actor hasn't been in cryogenic suspension since he was last seen two seasons ago?

Agreed...it's just life

From this screen capture it looks like someone with the last name 'Lantham' from New York. Michael & Walt are from New York, but their last names are Dawson & Lloyd. I believe that Rose & Bernard are also from New York, and their last name has not been mentioned as far as I know.

Perhaps it is a character that we have not yet met. But we do know that it is a man.

Or as mentioned it's a real dude who died in real life...
