My second day at the Murray's Mill Harvest Folk Festival yielded some more interesting portraits. I spoke with this gentleman for a while and asked him if I could take his photo and he gladly permitted me to do so. When I asked him his name, he responded with "Ronnie Travis." The last name sounded familiar and I thought to myself... It couldn't be... so I asked... Are you, by chance, related to Paul Travis? He grinned smugly and said "yup! That's my dad". I told Ronnie that I had made a great photo of his father on my visit to the festival yesterday. I had run into Paul Travis again today about 30 minutes before I met his son. I got his address so I cold send him a couple prints of my photo.

Amazing portraits that tell a story. I'm very surprised not many people have replied here, probably too overwhelmed. ;-)
When you give those men their prints they are going to be so happy! :-O |

One more.. this is the last of the 'civil war' group that I photographed this weekend... I should have done more but i got too wrapped up talking to the ones I did photograh. They all love to tell their stories, and they are great to hear, but they take up a good bit of time...
