We live by a lake which is about 3 hours away from where Rita is. We are getting amazing winds. We decided to drive down and see how it looks. Our lake usually is like glass, especially in this cove. It now looks like an ocean. I just hope these winds don't start any tornadoes here.

We have had 30-35mph winds here all day, and the rain has been sporadic up until the last 30 minutes. One house has had the roof blown off, the power is out in some parts of town, and there are lots of small tree limbs and things blown around in yards and on the streets. We're not even anywhere near the main storm, so I can only begin to imagine what it's like nearer the center. I just hope she doesn't stall or spin back toward the Gulf.
