Maybe this is a stupid question, or asked before, if so I'm very sorry about that.
I'd like to post my photo of the Bubbles challenge on my personal site. But because you guys can't see my entry on this site, combined with my name (right?), do I have to wait until voting ends? Is there a "rule" about this?

| An unwritten rule. Most don't like you doing so but it is ok. |

There is a vocal contingent that, should they see your image before voting is over, will have a fit and possibly vote your image low and start all kinds of rants in the forums about it.
But your photos are your photos, you can do whatever you want with them.

It's not against the rules. It may or not affect you score, so I myself wouldn't post, but that's just me. Just don't post links to the picture in the forums.

I once happened to find out who a particular photo in a challenge belonged to after visiting his site that week... not a good idea to post them publicly during voting IMO.
It's totally up to you though, it's not a written rule. |

I would recommend that if you do want it on your own website for family and others to see that maybe your remove your web address from your profile for the time being so someone can't "accidently" come across the image. Just an idea

I post my photos to my personal blog without worrying about it. It's my photo and my personal journal afterall. But I don't have a link to my blog on my profile, and to my knowledge there is only one dpc member who would see it there. I don't worry about the voting bias of a single person -- and she is absolutely free to vote however she wants on my image. I seriously doubt she'd be one to vote any way other than what she thought the image deserved.
However, if my website/blog was something the dpc members freely had access to, and I knew many would see the photo, I probably wouldn't preview and challenge entry shots there. It just seems more fair that way.

See this thread. It is not even illegal to post your current challenge at dpc itself, just discouraged. Posting at a personal website is not even close to being questionable. Does not matter if you have link to your website from your profile.
