hmmm... woke up to go to he bathroom and just couldn't stay away from the hum of the puter (it's 4:30am here in california)...

still low number of votes... :( and that 9 was a thing of the past :(

I get up to 8 votes and a 4.00????? My only comment says they don't see what the photo and title have to do with destination. I think this challenge is going to piss off alot of entrants. Isn't a destination a pretty personal thing, and who is the voter to judge what it has to do with the challenge? AUGHHHHH IT's a spot on shot too. People - you better get out there and up my score - PLEASE!!!!!

Do not excite yourselves. The voting count is too low due to server problems. I just finished my initial first pass after trying for an hour last night and I only have 14 votes. So hang on and let the others speak and all will iron itself out.

I seriously think something is wrong with the server. Never have I had such a low vote 9 hours into voting. I mean, I only have had 7 people vote, and more than that have posted in this thread. Everytime I click on something, it takes forever for it to come up. I would at least have a comment by now! :)

I have managed to vote on all the photos but it took a long time
will refine the vote later in the week and add comments then

Me too, Firsty. When I signed on, there was a notice that they were aware of slow server issues and were trying to fix it. I voted on all but will tweak throughout the weak. Overall, I was kind of disappointed. I only gave 3 10's and one 9. Quite a few 8's and 7's and TONS of 4's and 5's. I saw lots of snapshot entries IMHO - but the higher ones were really nice.

Now off to make my sympathy greeting card. ROFL

Hm.. getting a little worried about my monitor settings. Got a comment that my photo is too dark, but it's bright and clear to me and I can see the full range of colors. I just calibrated my monitor last week, too.

Haha Jutilda. I am definately feeling the blow on this shot. =) I stretched the destination somewhat but didn't think it would be this bad. Oh well, I still like the shot. =) Good luck to all!

I'm a little concerned that people are going to look and my images alignment or straightness when my subjects were not in line themselves...way beyond my control. It was totally impossible to straighten things out which I also thought added a cool, funky effect to the image as a whole but now I'm worried that the DPC eye is going to give me trouble...

I wonder if anybody else is going to vote, or the slowness of the site is too much of an annoyance. These may pretty much be our final scores. ;-)

the slow server is definetly affecting the voting, only 30 so far. Usually by morning i have 60 or more....

Heh, I'm up to 5.574. Now I'm feeling better about myself. LOL

Close it - I think a week is almost too long anyway. I'd say 5 day challenges or even 3, are ok by me. Maybe somebody should try it. Do you think people would go for that???

I'm for shorter challenges and faster servers! :~B
