My husband and I attended a terrific antique car show. The temperature was between 75 and 81 degrees, sunny with puffy clouds. Afterwards we drove south along the shore of the Indian River. It was a perfect date, that we topped off with a simple meal at The Olive Garden restaurant.
This evening we were out walking early, when we noticed an unusually pretty sky. We high-tailed it back to the house to jump in the car and chase the sunset. Florida does have some great ones. My driving and pulling over at vantage points got hubby a wee bit nervous so he took over the driving and I jumped out to get some cool shots. We were on back roads, and I am ever mindful of GATORS!!!

It snowed here. Gets colder and colder soon I wont be able to bike around... I"ll have to take the bus.... oh how wonderful the bus is..

Thankfully when my image requires a male human my roommate will happily put up with my instructions to move this, shift that, look this way, that way........

I found a front yard garden at someone's house that was absolutely COVERED in yellow leaves. Very interesting to look at

Sadly it snowed a tiny bit where I am as well. Decided it must be time to get the pool ready for winter. hehe. So with that now done I had a little bit of time to do some X-Mas shopping. I dread doing anymore and think I will order most everything like I did last year. After shopping I hit the local Pizza Hut and finally tried their Chicago Style Pizza and recommend it.

well since i am a starving student I decided to take up crochet and make everyone winter accessories and stuff. So far so good.. I've made several fashionable hats for myself out of the leftover yarn ;)

I dont mind the snow.. it makes things look pretty!! It's never really that cold out here in London Ont.... not like it was in Sudbury I'll tell ya!!! If you dont like winter.. do NOT move to northern ontario.

Seems like I haven't seen the sun in ages. And yes we are getting to the point where there is as much maple leaf on the ground as inthe tree. Pretty. Just wants sun!

I don't mind snow, a necessity for good skiing, I just don't like it on the roads. I HATE driving in snow! I am looking forward to hitting the slopes though.

It was the most perfect late fall day today in Vancouver; temperature not much above zero, deep blue cloudless sky and visibility for ever. We planted hundreds of tulips and I became intimately reacquainted with my compost (which is in glorious shape.)

I saw a band on Saturday night and my ears are still ringing. In between that I watched Shallow Grave
and worked on printing this picture as a large
format panorama.

Hey BigSmiles...nice of you to think of everyone....tehehe...don't you need my hat size??? lol

About the snow...I'm jealous...I like it very much. Of course I spent a good amount of time looking at it out my window. I don't expect to see any here in Florida. For years I lived in ski country. Hunter Mountain, and Ski Windham.

It's so great to see a thread like this :). Some personal chat, some discussion about the site, but no rudeness or personal abuse or negativitity.

...or anywhere else in Canada...I haven't done any crochet in a while -- it's one of those things I take up now and again. Maybe we should trade pictures of hats...Maybe we should have a challenge to photograph something we've made...

When I get my goddaughter to model the hat i made her I"ll send it over... Unfortunately for me though I wont see her until I go home for Christmas... which is exactly 32 days from now (Yes I am counting! Wouldn't you?)

I'm working on two kinds of hats.. 1. a rolled brim hat made of cotton yarn 2. a skull cap/beanie cap made out of whatever I can find.

SO far I've gotten mom's hat, baby Kaegan's hat and grandma's hat :) Oh and of course like 5 hats for myself hehe....

I find switching hook sizes from size G to size H gives me enough room to work so I get a toddler's size hat and an adult hat! Been looking around for a sweater pattern preferably with a big loose turtleneck that uses that loopy bulky yarn.. no such luck.. not for crochet anyway.

Hay Jak, there's a great subject for a macro somewhere in there *grin*.

I'm sure you're right. However, I'm just not into pictures (close ups no less) of fat contented worms!

the weather this weekend was very nice here in the washington, dc, area. sunny and clear, a little on the cool side, but a beautiful break from the week of rain and cold we had previously.

people seem to be more relaxed and upbeat too after the arrests of the sniper suspects.

on the down side, my wife and i were rear-ended on saturday night, rather hard. the car's damage appears to be confined to the bumper, but we both are suffering sore necks and backs.

photographically, im excited about the macro challenge. macro is one of my favorite photographic aspects and the +4 closeup lens i got to attach to the front of my e-10 really enhances the camera's macro abilities. for example: Using My Macro Setup was shot with this.

The native macro abilities of the e-10/20 are not as good as many cameras - closest you can get is about 11 inches, although you can use full telephoto from that distance. however, the thread-on lens (cost $30 from bhphotovideo.com) let's you get within an inch of the subject.
