I know that the servers are being moved/reconfigured, but i haven't seen any pics displayed on the site for the last 4 or so hours
is anyone else having problems? or did this outage just follow me home from work?
(of course, i'm only worried because this is the 1st time one of my entries has done well, and it would be a shame for it to lose out because the voting got cut short :(

hey - i know that it's dangerous to assume anything, but i thought you'd understand that i meant you should vote HIGH SCORES for your favorite spiderman - some of you need to go back and rethink some shots :)

It was out for my last night but has since resumed normal operation. BTW I am so impressed with this site. Thank you for letting me be a part of it. Makes a neophyte like me have fun taking photos. Ok...enough a** kissing.....get the site to work properly darn it!

the hourly update time just passed, and i saw my vote count go up (and my score go down :(
any ideas why i can see the text side of DPC just fine but experience huge outages of the image server - while other people seem to be seeing everything just fine (or not - maybe they're voting on the little squares with the red x's)
~ VERY FRUSTRATING ~
ps: all other browsing this evening has proceeded without incident - DPC images server is the only sticky (stinky?) site - WAAA!

all day at the office - everything is fine
came home - no images on DPC
can somebody out there ping the images.dpchallenge.com server and tell me what the IP addr is, so i can tell my ISP tech something besides "everything works except this one particular site"

since i still can't get images to show up, and for two days nobody has anything to offer in the way of help/encouragement/sympathy, it appears that i'll no longer be participating in DPC
it's been fun - later!

I don't really know how to fix you problem but I have a couple of basic ideas that you may or may not have tried already.
Firewall: Make sure you dont have some weird dpc block on there.
Browser: Make sure you don't have the security set up too high.
Windows: Check the firewall settings here as well.
ISP: Like you said, I suggest ringing up your ISP.
The dpc image server IP is 198.77.14.86

i'm sure you've tried this already but try deleting your temporary files, i.e. fllushing your browser cache, then rebooting.

Sounds like your machine at home might be set up to block images coming
from an alternative machine. Which browser ? Might want to check your
security settings

a new day dawns on another mystery
without touching my pc (no settings, no rebooting, no nothing), i went to sleep last night
this morning i got up, and the problem persisted
i took a shower, and the problem persisted
i ate breakfast, and the problem is gone
i can hardly wait to come home from work tonight and see what happens

i've had no trouble since friday morning, but now again today - no images
of course, the tech support people at my ISP have no clue - after all, when i call them, THEY can see the images

| All I can say is God Bless the New Image Server! Before, I was not able to see the images at work at all... just text. What could be more frustrating than not being able to see photos here?! (I could see them at home, but not at work.) Now I can see them both places. I am liking the new server :) |
