Its normally thought wrong to discuss your photos before voting has finished, so I suggest instead of bringing this to the forums, you email Drew or Langdon and ask for an administrator note saying your photo is in fact legal. This will stop confusion.

Thanks

I think it would be very useful if camera settings would be showed with the picture we vote on.
Like;

Type of camera: Auto or Manual
ISO:
Aperture:
Shutter:
Special Equipment used: camera-filters, tripod, ringflash, etc
Special camera settings: multi-exposure, ExposurePrograms, IR-mode

That way you can give much better comments.
It is of no use to recommend manual settings to someone with a point and shoot auto. And it is in someway unfair to rate someone down because he did not use settings he did not even have control over.
ISO/Aperture/shutter settings can be useful to recommend someone to try another combination of settings / other lighting that can be used right away.
The last two can avoid discussions or rating down because it looks like a PS-filter/action.

By providing camera information to the viewers it would give them general ideas as to who took the photos and in some cases be a dead give away. Also by getting suggestions from the viewers about aperture and shutter settings the photographer can decide for himself if that is possible with their camera or not and if not, then they can decide whether to choose other types of photos that are more attainable with their camera. Many of the cameras that are used here are limited but even within those limits there are a great amount of possiblities that can still be achieved.

I am a forum reader ... and know I have read it.
I am sorry .. I thought it was not allowed to discuss that much

WE OPEN .. or WE DO NOT OPEN the discussion about how we did the picture

I do not want to look at a picture and think .. oh this is the nikon filter, he worked 4 hours on it ...

I think you should edit your original message.
Like you said "it is important to stay by the rules" ..

Please do not take it personal. Lionel

Done!
And I have asked for an administrator note too.
