With just over 13 hours to go in the Nude challenge, before the results come out, just want to say to all who participated CONGRATULATIONS! From pm's I have gotten, forum posts and a few emails I know it was as difficult for some of you to enter as it was for me. No matter where you place in the ranks WELL DONE!!

And as a side note: Thank you to all who voted and took the time to comment - not only on my entry, but all the entries. Seems this challenge has shattered some records for a lot of us. I know it did for me. Perhaps not in highest score, but certainly in votes, views and comments. Again, thanks!

I could not agree more. This was the first nude shot I have done and had no clue how difficult it is to get the light, pose, shadows, etc. just right. I have learned so much from the comments and reflection on the elements of how I did it and what I would do differently. My submission is not doing great but not terrible either but that is not very important imho.

This was the first nude for my model as well. She had a great time and would now do it again. BTW, most all of the suggestions for improvement that was posted by viewers I originally heard from her but neglected to act upon. Never underestimate the power of a second opinion!

I feel like an artist again and I learned much! I can always be happy when I learn and especially when I try new things :0)

So yes- Thank you to all who participated in any way even if a just vote or view. It's funny that I forget how much these things matter to the photographer.

At first I was mega disappointed, but upon my 100th review of my shot, YOU ARE RIGHT- it does need this and that - as suggested, although the idea is still cool and abstract and the people who didn't get THAT part of it well pphhhhhhtttttttt!!!

Na na na na na na na!! :`(

Onto D & L and shoes.

I run around naked all the time, so that isnt a big deal for me - the challenge lay in the comments. And i am so proud of everyone that commented on the whole challenge - everyone seems to have at leat 35-40 comments and that is so great. No one has much complained of angry PM's either. Just wonderful!

Yes, it certainly has been a learning experience - ROFL. I just wish I had been better prepared for the number of views and comments (as in, I wish I had submitted a decent - pun intended - shot!).

Thanks to all who've entered, commented, viewed, and encouraged those of us virgins. [I won't take that metaphor any further although my mind really wants to...]

EDIT: Oh, and Alienyst - my brother felt the need to inform my mother and show her my entry this week, and I was definitely reminded of your experience and feel your pain!

Wow, some of you have 70 + comments? Shoot, I only have 30. Mine is so bad, most people are probably afraid to comment. But some of you, in this very thread, have commented, and those comments have helped me for the nude IV. So I say thanks.

So far I've commented on 62%, and working on the rest. Also, where did all these people come from? Over 1000 views, and 400 votes. I wasn't expecting that. Otherwise I would have got a better looking model. I'm referring to myself.

Yes I think that we got a great turnout for this challenge. At least better than we all thought on the final day of submitting. Hope everyone had fun trying something new with this or improving on something already tried. :-)
