My model and I did not even realize the Nude III challenge had been posted when this image was taken. Did not return to edit it until after the challenge submission was long gone.
Wondering if someone would be kind enough to offer some critique/comments as it was a first for both of us. Thanks all.

Its a cute angle and well lit, but she looks a little blue to me? Nice work and I bet that lady has MANY good angles!

Made a very subtle change to the selective desat (smaller) to enhance the contrast I was trying to achieve on the B/W.
Not sure what the 'blue' refers to in Parrothead's comments, unless that means she looks sad. I just completed a Spyder calibration of my LCD, so I don't 'think' that the coloration is actually off.
Thanx all for comments so far, keep em coming! |

he didnt refer to her emotions but her skin tone. You have desat the red but left the yellow in play. Because of this half of her skin glows, and the other has loots completely washed of colour. Next to yellow the colourless skin translates as blue to many eyes (its not a monitor thing, it is how humans percieve colours) because we are not used to that tone on a humans skin, while another colour remains.
IMHO selective desat does not work for this image, since it does cause this bluish illusion. Try all b&w or all colour. The composition is there, the colouration however does not compliment the model. |

Sorry, I don't like it at all. I don't like the combination of color and B&W. The light is very flat, look for example at her legs, it is all the same tone, no depth, no shape. And her breasts are squashed. I don't think the image brings out her beauty or does create an interesting image in any other way. Sorry. |

Thanx for comments all, think I am now seeing what others have seen. I set out specifically to not leave this fully color or fully b/w. The color splash was always in the vision, but I see that it was overpowering.
This version seems to be less invading and although I cannot see the 'blueing', may also take care of that unwanted effect as well.
