It's Official!!!!
Notice the easter-basket green grass and the blue sky with puffy clouds. I didn't do that ;)

Congratulations!! That is so exciting isn't it? I had some pictures published in a local magazine and also got credit, very cool feeling.

I just happened to be shooting that day, just for the experience, and it turned out the person who wrote the article (who normally takes her own photos) had a computer problem just before deadline. She called a friend of hers who's a friend of mine, and he told her to call me. I said all I wanted was photo credit and a copy of the paper. I had no idea it'd be front frickin' page ;) Whee!

Thanks all. I feel like I got really lucky- just in the right place at the right time, knowing the right people. Ha! Oh, and that I happened to take the picture they wanted to publish! They specifically said, "do you have a photo of the banner coming down and the mural being revealed?" Why yes I do! :D

Congrads, but don't you feel that you should have got more than just a paper? I wouldn't have felt weird by at least asking for some sort of payment, afterall you are doing THEM a helping hand...

The paper costs 25 cents- I don't get the impression it's got a big readership or big income! I don't mind doing them a favor, especially if it gets my name in front of people.
