What color are her sleeves? I need help on this problem. They are suppose to be purple. I shot some soccer photos of this school last Spring and they looked blue too. What can I do to make sure future shots are color corrected properly. This is the only color that does this. Is there a PS filter out there besides the built in ones or do I need a filter to screw on to the lense? Any help would be appreciated.

they look on the blue side of purple to me. Maybe its your monitor - the image also seems overly yellow on my screen.
Duh...I forgot about the lighting cast...

The only adjustment I have done so far is Auto Levels. Is there a yellow filter to take it out? |

Looks like your white balance is off--but trying to correct it in Levels or Color Cast didn't help.
I went to Hue/Saturation, selected Blues, shifted the hue +44, Saturation +17, Lightness -27
This might not work with other images where there are lots of blues that could be affected--but then you could select the area in question and make adjustments only to that part. |

Since you're using photoshop try this:
1) Use a threshold adjustment layer to find the lightest and darkest points in the image
2) Once the points are selected remove the threshold layer and create a curves layer and using the white and black droppers select the points created in 1.
3) Adjust the curve as required to get the contrast you want
For more detailed instructions I believe the tutorial for removing a colour cast can help.

They look pretty purple to me, all in all. A bluish purple but noticeably purple nonetheless. I can tell you from experience that working under high intensity discharge lamps, of the sort probably used in this gymnasium, that the purple-range colors are the hardest ones to render accurately anyway. Used to give us fits when working for interior designers, who are really picky about color accuracy in their shots.
Robt.
Took a stab at it myself, removing yellow from neutral range ins elective color, adding a smidgen of magenta and cyan. Nothing I can do seems to totally clean up that back wall, but the rest is pretty fair... I also dialed in some USM.
