Okay this is not heavily photoshopped... its a shadow picture that has been burned and had the color removed thats it... the dots -- they are the stucco wall the shadow was on. I like it-- but is it just cause its my kid???
and which is better of the two?

I like the b/w one better of the two. The lack of color allows one to study the shapes better. You might try to get your daughter partially in the frame to anchor it a bit if you try the shot some other time.
The border doesn't add to the picture. This is a personal observation about this particular style of border, they make the picture look like a button. I don't know why but I always get a mental picture of a soccer mom wearing the picture on her coat. Yours isn't heavily applied but I can still see that diagonial line in the upper right. |
