ok i made a video of pictures using windows movie maker and i cant email it because the size is too big. i tried deleting photos to make it smaller and making the actual photos smaller but its not doing any good. the size is about 12.4 mb and i need it to be at the most 10 mb. i compressed it and it dropped to 12 mb (didnt help much). i did this before but i cant remember how to resize it, anyone know what i should do????

you should be able to re-render it into a e-mailable file size if you still have the movie maker file...

May or may not be of help. Find a program to split the video in half and have the person you are emailing to reassemble the video.

Install linux on your machine and your friends machine then use scp to copy the file between the machines size doesn't matter.

I don't know much about movie maker. But can you zip the file and send as a zip file? This should reduce the size of the file allowing their email server to accept the attachment. Then they can unzip it. You can download WinZip free if you don't already have it. It will not take away from the quality. I think that would be easier than splitting the files.

Make sure your original picture files are saved at no more than 72 dpi (screen resolution) and no larger than 10x12 or so (plenty big enough for a computer monitor). Save them for web to further conserve space.

I don't know anything about Windows movie maker but this site might be helpful. There are forums and tutorials, like this one on compressing files.

You may also check out Google's new video upload and see if maybe you can't transfer your video that way, rather than via email.
