It's OK but it would be a whole lot better if it were a Chevy. ;)

The picture is cool, but the theme here is obviously advertising, And from an advertising point of view..the picture should be about the truck... all I see is a really cool sky that happens to have a truck in the foreground.

just my input.

This would have a little better impact if the truck were at more of an angle, so that you could see more of the side. Nice moody sky and lighting though!

I have 1 picture of a ford in my portfolio ... has nothing really to do with your photo though .... but - it may give you some ideas ...

GOod job - the truck looks great.. but I think the foreground and background may be slightly distracting for this type shot. Also, I think the truck would've been better positioned towards the left of the frame and with the front tires turned a bit more, bringing us into the picture rather than leading us out of it. Like MWitt mentioned, more of an angle might benefit the shot as well (though I'm not sure). I've never done this type of shot, but just my thoughts.

The sky is cool and attracts attention. Unfortunately the truck doesn't.

The lighjting on the truck is atrocious IMO, not even CLOSE ti what Ford would consider desirable. It's harsh & glaring & makes weird shapes in the grill. The off-front tire (under the truck) is very awkwardly overlit. The angle of view and the angle of front wheel turnin gives only a hint of the complexity of the special wheels that are a big part of this truck's appeal.

The sign hanging in a bracket in the left-middle BG is a real distraction. Overall the colors are leaden & unappealing.

On the plus side, it's a dramatic shot.

IMO of course, all the above.

Robt.

looks like it's begging for a lawsuit.

I think you need a lot more color contrast between the truck and the rest of the image. The truck doesn't stand out enough from the sky and road. Hard to even tell what color the truck is.

It kinda looks like the picture was taken in front of a green screen and you put the background in. The contrast seems to harsh.

Cool guys, thanks a lot. Originally, I set out because it was supposed to rain around sunset (for the rain challenge) -- so I found this hill that I liked that I drove by once.

It was much more borring than I remembered. But the sun poked through right there...and I had a second to turn around, position the truck and get the camera out...of course it never rained.

I noticed the sign in the background right as I composed and thought DAMNIT why'd I park it here...oh well...the sun was like that for probably a minute if that.

Thanks for all the comments...definately something I want to look more into in the future -- although a cooler car would help as would some nekked chicks on or around them :D

I think the pic would have turned out much batter had it been taken with a canon camera. LOL

I like it. I find the sign in the BG distracting as well. Bearmusic is probably pretty good on his assesment, but then many ads are pusing lifestyle or moods or feelings and that this pic does well.

Finding any rain? Me neither. I took a solid 5 shot early monday morning but it has been dry as a bone since. At least I have an entry...

heh..no it's been supposed to rain here every day since Sunday, and hasn't rained a drop.

I'm sort of working on a streak here of top 10's so I'm definately not entering something I don't think is worthy hehe.
