no no, the <#>number represents the ammount of beers I had to look at your bad photo. lol j/k

I have several comments that say "I don't see how this can be a long exposure." DUHHHHH - a 3 second opening is longer than normal, right? I swear... it doesn't HAVE to be blurred or a glowing building does it???

Jutilda, I see your point and I myself am kind of confused on how to vote the "normal looking exposure" entries. If it is not obvious to me that you did in fact use long exposure, how am I suppose to know that you complied with the theme? If we go by the challenge details, then that could explain your results.
"Long exposures can often create very dramatic effects in photography. Use a longer than normal exposure to create the impact of your image."

I couldn't have done it without leaving it open more than usual. At the beginning of the challenge, I asked if a camera that didn't have the unlimited capability could still be used and I was told by many that as long as it is "longer than normal exposure" then it was fine. I couldn't have done my shot without it. (sigh)
That's ok, I like it and that's really all that matters.

I think that it depends on what you're shooting if you take a low light shot I would expect a long exposure therefore to be a longer than usual exposure the length of exposure needs to have conveyed or added something to the shot not just the correct exposure for the conditions IMO

I almost never go back a re-look a photo. I ususally take the time the first time around and see what come to mind. Thats why I can never finish voting or commenting. Hopefuly you didn't find my comment to bad and the 5 beers was a joke. lol

Well, I don't know who's getting the bad scores. I just went thru them all and for the most part, I'm very impressed.
I'm glad I didn't enter this one. I would have gotten smoked!! Very good entries.
