I usually have a few pictures that won't load on the first try (or second or third) but today I have over 50. I wish there was a way to skip a picture. As it is I give them all 10s so I can find them on the next pass. Apologies to all the peoples whose scores take a nose dive as I return to the blanks. |

I'm guessing a dial-up connection? Try to right click where the photo should be and select "Show Picture" from the menu that appears...that should force it to load for you.

Try "COMMAND + CLICK". I think that is the equivalent to the right click. Hope that works. ~Heather~

Ok...it's either "command + click" or "option + click". Which ever button you have, use that one. ~Heather~

With a dial up (I'm assuming that's what you have) you have to watch the lower left corner of the window and wait until all the images have loaded. If you get impatient and start scrolling, you won't be able to see the ones that hadn't loaded yet. This is why I do my voting at work. :-þ
..oh, if that happens you can just go back to the home page then to the thumbnails again. Following the above instructions this time. lol

Now I'm wondering if there is a common denominator in the pictures that won't load- so I've tarted leaving a not to that effect. When I click on the thumb I get both rows of the scoring numbers but the evil red X on the picture. Or if I'm cruising along voting, I come to a dud wit the evil X. The only way to continue is t go back to the thumbnail page (takes six minutes to load each time at home and about 1 min at work), or give a random vote to get the next picture.
Is there a better way? Am I the only one? This is G4, OS X, Internet explorer 5.1. |

Maybe this is your mac browser not understanding certain file characters in the image path? If you could make a note of the filename (or at least the image IDs that don't work), we might be able to find the common factor. As for the page that takes 6 minutes to load -- we're working on it :)

could it be something as simple as too many people looking at the same picture? It is worse on Monday, presumably a busy time, and gets better during the week- |

We've not been informed of this issue by any other users, so I wouldn't be able to say that.

I have the same problem all throughout the week. It's not a huge deal for me though, usually 5 or 10 images, and it's not an annoyance, I just blame it on my computer having too much to think about and go on. About the whole site not loading, I wanted to say that Monday around 12:10 AM, I couldn't get on at all. Then I noticed another (in addition to the regular) "down for maintenence" message, and after that, it was fast as lightning. So whatever you did, it worked nicely. ~Heather~
