Which camera has captured the most ribbons on DPChallenge?

I'll venture the Sony F7X7 ... Setz and Tim Jensen have quite a few between them.

That would be an interesting statistic but in reality it's not the camera that captures the ribbons it's the photographer using the camera.

You are right about the photographer being the main ingredient but it would be nice to correlate what the big guns pack with the number of ribbons won. The Canon G2/G3 seem to be making quite a dent too :o)

Well, I was bored so I did a quick rundown of a few of the most popular models. Did I miscount a few? Surely. It was a quick and dirty count.
Also, I didn't bother counting if there were under 10 ribbons for a given cam.
707 - Top camera with 39 ribbons. No surprise here. If you want to add the 717 to the bunch you get 11 more for a total of 50!
G2 - Next highest with 26 ribbons. There are not many G3 wins yet.
602 - Came in at 17. The most ribbons for a 3 megapixel cam!
S30 - (My favorite) Made a respectable showing behind the 602 with 16 ribbons.
Like I said, I'm sure I miscounted a few, and probably missed more than a couple of cams that have over 10 ribbons and should be here. But hey, I'm not trying to make any point. Just share some trivia!

Wow, and 6 of the ribbons are yours! If I ever get just one ribbon I'll be happy. :) |
