I noticed that during the night my score drops and during the day it goes up. Does that happen to others here? Are people in a better mood during the day?

Don't you read Grims Fairy Tales? Trolls come out at night! :P

Some of the people voting at night may be from other countries around the world. If your photo is a cultural or local reference, then your score could be affected.

It happens the same to me.

Well, remember that your night and day are someone else's day and night. All I know is that my scores tend to start higher, do some sort of crazed yo-yo dance and then crash during the week, and on the last day or so, creep up ever so slightly. I gave up trying to figure out a pattern. There's no rhyme or reason, it just "is." ;)

Agreed. All in all I know my score is low one way or another :-)

Mine usually go up overnight and then drop during the day. My score usually changes very little after the first day, but for textures it started very strong and is now slowly dropping :(

A century ago when JP Morgan was one of the richest guys on earth due in part to his investment savvy, someone asked him 'What do you predict will happen in the stock market?' Being a man of great wisdom and prescience he answered 'It will fluctuate.'

Same here.

Agreed. Mine is terribly low and I don't see it coming back up.

I noticed the nocturnal fluctuations too and I'm OK with that. But I'm going bonkers watching what is, in my opinion, my best so far scoring low to average and so far only ONE comment.

Apparently I'm mediocre.
Well, I used to be awful, so this is better...

Perhaps the answer is that little phrase "in my opinion..."

I know how you feel. I never received a rating of awful, thank goodness, but my photos really get blasted on some very nasty comments. Mostly overexposed or too grainy. One time someone said that any tourist could take a picture like I submitted (my metal challenge.) Well, I have lamented and tried to leave this board, but I keep coming back for more abuse.
