thanks for all who voted and commented (well, except for 6 of you)...
this is my new highest score, and the most comments i've ever gotten during a challenge.
on one hand, the shot was as much luck as anything else. i had been shooting burst mode, but switched back to single shot mode. i was also clicking on just about every swing.
while checking the lcd, i knew i had gotten a broken bat shot. when i got home, i processed it, and it became my initial entry.
later, though, while looking through the rest of the day's shootings, i stumbled across this one, which i liked better.
needless to say, i was rather amazed to have captured to broken bats in the same game.
thanks again! and congratulations to everyone in this really competitive challenge!

Congratulations on your great photos and your high placement!
I wish I could join you in your merriment, but I just got a personal worst.
From 80 percentile to 20... ugh.
Oh well, I still really like how this picture came out (it's an idiom, people!).
Still, the photos that placed highly certainly deserved it, especially yours, skip, seeing as yours is the highest placed baseball photo (ok, I'm biased, and?). |

That is pretty amazing skip, capturing two "once in a lifetime" shots at the same game. Well done.
I must admit that I am a little envyous. My entry was only the fourth highest score for a baseball shot and only my second highest score ever. And I only caught the magic moment once, LOL. But I did notch a PB with 29 comments, one of them from you - Thanks.

No idea what the odds are of that, but ALL the odds seem to be in your favor these days Skip, so run with it!!
