I just got news that I will be receiving a press pass to shoot for the Atlantic Jazz Festival !
My wife has been working with them as a volunteer and mentioned that I was into photography. She gave them links to my portfolio here and they decided they could use me. I will be adding my services to other volunteer photographers for the event.
This gives me access to all the venues and shows free of charge, so I'll be able to get into the thick of things and snap away. Cool!

Give that wife a hug! Have a blast and we'll look forward to some great photos.
I'm trying to do the same thing for a balloon fest happening here this weekend, but not having much luck. |

I could use any pointers since this will be my first serious outting shooting stage performers.

I've been out twice with the pass. Security gave me a hard time the first night, but last night went great. I'm quite busy shooting since the festival wraps up tonite, but here is one that I chose to post for yesterday's Picture-a-Day project.
I'll post the series in the next few weeks.
