That's definitely not the 1200 f/5.6, it looks like the 600 f/4. Still a damn big gun.

I agree, looks like the older type non-IS 600F4 with 1.4 converter.

Dang, that puppy has some SERIOUS shallow DOF LOL;

Stopped down to f/32, focused on infinity, DOF is 310 metres to infinity. At f/4.0 and infinity focus, DOF is 2390 metres to infinity...

Focused at 30 metres and f/4.0, DOF is a minuscule 29.64 metres to 30.37 metres. At f/32, it's 27.42 to 33.14. In other words, shooting wide open and focused at roughly 100 feet, DOF is roughly 2 feet... Stopped all the way down, it's still only about 15 feet of DOF.

Wow.

I said "roughly", I was too lazy to calculate it by hand and my calculator stopped working. It's actually 5.7 meters so yeah, it's more than 18 feet, yeah... Sue me, LOL. Has nothing to do with my Americanship, though. Hell, I spent 4 years in school in Europe and I was on metric system there. It's just computational laziness; I rounded down to 5 metres difference, and to a conversion factor of 3, when I did this on the fly.
