Set to do an outdoor wedding today (for a friend). Awoke this morning to steady rain and thunder. Plan "B" to move the wedding indoors was to put 60+ people in a 40 person capacity room. Needless to say, I was just happy the rain held off long enough for the wedding! Still, extremely humid (fogged up the lens!), and dark and gray all day. We managed some pretty good shots I think...I just took a first look through them. Here's one I just finished a first quick edit on.

A grey day can be a blessing as you can get some nice filtered light.

A few more before I quit for the night and go to bed. For what they paid me, I think they'll be happy, and it will give me some more wedding shots for my portfolio.

I think you did a wonderful job...what a great place to have available for their portraits, too! :)

I think they look great too. That first one is breathtaking.

Thanks! This is the sculpture park where I took that contest photo a few weeks ago. Just coincidence that the wedding would be there too. They have some wonderful locations, but there were two other weddings going today as well. It was SO muggy and hot that we didn't get around to all the places I wanted, but this spot worked pretty well. Many of the places had also turned too muddy from the rain.

Not sure if there's something wrong with my monitor, but the groom's leg looks like it was chopped off and glued on improperly (in the full length shot of the two).
Other than that, they look really good. |

Hmm...someone else mentioned that the "cloning" on the pant leg needed work. No cloning at all was done on this shot. Only a crop, some levels adjustments and slight dodging and burning. I'm at work where my monitor is garbage, but I'll have to check out that leg when I get home.
Thanks for the comments! |

My only other concern is that the brides upper arm looks large in the single shot, but the pose works well for the rest of the figure I think. You can see in the couple's shot that she's not a small gal, but very pretty. The groom was a really, really nice guy and very cooperative to work with, but a bit difficult to get flattering shots of. |

Okay...The bottom of his pant leg was scrunched up in a very unsightly way, so I'm assuming that's what commentors were talking about. Is this better? |

I cloned it in the version with this post. I had NOT cloned the weird looking one in the first post...that's just the way the pants happen the lay, and I had not noticed it. I agree it looked odd though. Does the cloned version look better and natural enough? |
