I am trying to submit a photo to the Sports challenge and I guess my pics too big. Prolly a simple thing but how do I re-size to fit?

What software are you using?

Remember the largest pixel dimension allowed is 640 and the file size can't be bigger than 150.

Save for web is how I do it.

Just use the image size tab to change the longest dimension to 640 and apply. Then go to the optimize button and optimize for file size and choose 150 as the file size.

Then click save and your done. Make sure that none of the tick boxes are checked. You don't need to include any of that with the submitted picture.

Just make real sure that your longest side IS in fact 640, and your size is 150, because no matter how awesome your picture is, if it looks too small on the screen, I promise, the voters will dismiss it with 3's and 4's (if you are lucky).

If you Save for Web, and notice the size is still too big, there's a "Quality" bar, and you can slide that back until the size is 150. It doesn't really affect the quality of your photo, but it allows the size to stay 640, and 150.

Good luck!!!
