So, me and the wife and kids are heading north to Sanoma, CA. (Wine Country) for a few days.
I will be taking alot of pictures of grapes.
We're going to do the natural thing anyone does in wine country...relax.
Who else has plans to relax this year, and where ya' going?

St. Johns / St. Thomas.
Going next month, assuming they or we dont have hurricane problems. Can't wait. |

the wife and I + her sister & kids and Mom, my sister and her husband and kid all went down to the beach for a week. We rented a beach house and just mellowed out. I walked the beach alot, played in the water and found my first sharks tooth.
Oh I took a lot of pics as well.
Galveston, TX
Later this year we are off to Big Bend National park for a week.

Wow, great pics...this one is gorgeous!!!
Galveston is one of my favorite places to go...it's really beautiful and peaceful...there's something magical about the water there!

We're tentatively planning a trip from southern California to eastern Washington State. Probably won't be until the end of July, but we're definately talking about making it a scenic trip. Will probably take highway 1 up California. The coastline is beautiful. Past that, I've not done any trip planning. |

| We're going to New Mexico for 8 days on July 25th. Albuquerque - South to White Sands - Up to Santa Fe for a day, and finally Taos for about 3 days. Will be looking for photogenic landscapes, people, skies, etc. at every turn. |

So an update on my vacay.....
A 6 hour trip took almost 8.5 hours because of a brush fire off of the 5 Highway. Grrreeeaaattt stuff with 3 kids in tow.
Finally got to our destination. Finally opened up a bottle of the locals finest Pinot.
Today, more relaxation, more tasting, more food, and at least one nap. |

Well, we had reservations around Penscola Fl for Wen the 13. Looks like we will be going somewhere else.

We went to the Galapagos Islands and Peru in April, we're spending a week in Wales in September and a fortnight in Florida in November.

Keeping to Michigan this time of year (why not, the weather is perfect!)
The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island
Heading there Thursday - Sunday. Very nice, no cars on the island - just horses, bicycles and walking. Then July 31st-August 7th house on Lake Michigan in Grand Haven area. These are with the family, I'll throw in a couple weekends of golf with the boys for good measure. :-) |

I took mine early. I went to southern Utah. Amazing place. Still editing pics.

Saturday we leave for a 6 day supported hike in Glacier National Park.--We are supposed to bring a daypack only So I am perseverating over how much photography stuff to take. Camera-yes, but which lenses? Wide angle for sure. Telephoto zoom-yes. I'm struggling over the macro lens. I enjoy macro photography and if e have a cloudy day, I could still take photos, but might be way too much!
