| Good luck. Make sure the kids post pictures after they've tied you up and run amuck. |

To offer advice from someone who's been teaching kids for 10 years...NEVER LET THEM SEE YOU SWEAT! They're like little sharks with feet...they sense your fear like a drop of blood in the water. ;)
LOL seriously, have fun with them. In ten years they may not remember your name, or anything about a camera, but they will remember how you treated them and how you made them feel. That's what is important. :)

phew!
Just got done
3 sessions of different age groups.
THe first 2 groups when Great!
The kids had so much fun and the younger ones were leading me around by my hand showing me things that were good to photograph by the end.
Almost ran out of cameras for the second group!!
The teens weren't as excitable (or as ample) but they never are ;)
GOtta get all these pictures home so i can share with you all!! |

I dont know what Elli was so worried about. shes a natural with kids! she was great. I took both my 9yo and my 6yo and they havent stopped talking about her or the class yet!my 9yo(jessiroo) surprised me with the "photograph diagonal lines" challenge that elli gave them.there was a chess board in the hall and thats what she took the photo of. i totaly missed it with my 6yo. i decided to travel with my 6yo today because this was her first time being set free to walk around with a camera. if i saw something that fit one of the challenges elli gave them i would just tel cassandra that i saw something. she did the rest. I cant wait to see all the photos they took today.
Way to go Elli!see ya next week!

Elli... You are a terrific photographer and gifted communicator. I imagine you make a good teacher and that your students had fun and learned a lot.

Cheryl, your kids were great - your little one is quite a talant too - Jessica better watch out for her haha.
I have a whole new worry now - the kids in the first two sessions alone took HALF A GIG of photos on 0.9mp cameras!! WOW!!
(oh no< and now i"ve broken the keyboard hahah)
i don"t know if i have enough memory to get it all home and ftp on dial up *faints* |

| Mesmeraj, I've been thinking of giving some classes with kids. My daughter did in home "Art Camp" and made some decent money with it. She also got lots of referrrals from it and is now teaching several kids privately. Can you give me a run down of how you put it all together and anything I might need to know- I mean after you get thru with all that work from the photos they took. Maybe you could run a thread on it again. |

Great job Elli! I followed your link to the pics of your first class & it all looked wonderful. You & the kids are adorable, and the pics are great.
Then I noticed your schedule ... you're a maniac! You're teaching from 10-4 with no break??? You must be exhausted! Congrats on giving something to your community that's so worthwhile & with such energy! |
