i gave up watching my score after the second day...just way to sad to even see. looks like im in contention for the brown so ill get something outa the crappy photo;o) comments have been helpful(all 6 of them)

Heh, I'm hanging in there over 5.00 WOO HOO!!!
I got a weird comment but can't show it yet as it would give away which one is mine. Really strange though. In essence they said the subject was obsolete but the photo wasn't???? P-leeeez.
I wish I had somebody to bounce my circle photos off of, but is that considered cheating???? Judy

Comments are generally overwhelmingly positive. People are rightly afraid to say anything even slightly negative for fear of getting called out in the forums.
Not that anyone would want to say anything bad about your photo, I'm sure it would receive nothing but favorable remarks no matter what. :)

I'm getting all these wonderful comments, yet my score is nowhere near that blissful place I'd like it to be. I think a lot of people are missing the "outlived its usefulness/discarded" part of the challenge description. Boo!
I don't mind. I still like my shot. :)

When I started here one the things that helped the most was the comments, these gave me ideas of how to improve. They weren't always positive, that was good, as the positive ones (though lovely) don't show you where you could have taken the shot differently/improved editing/done better. I really liked the way I was seeing my image through others eyes and I feel it helped me grow as a photographer.
At any of the other forums I can go and get 'nice shot'....feel good, but not grow........reality is my Obsolete, though ok doesn't have that WOW factor. People have become a little afraid to leave honest comments in the challenges. Though.....we always have the other forums where if we ask for tough, honest C & C we will get it.
Praps we need a little box we can tick when we upload our challenge entry which lets the viewer know that we were're not going to get offended if they don't like it :P

I like that idea a lot! Maybe a scale of 1 - 5 indicating the thickness of your skin. :)

Yes, statistics are with you. My analysis for the last 13 challenges I've been in has shown an average bump UP of .084. The highest bump was .2122, the lowest a miserly .0033!!!! So hang in there. I just know you're going to make it.

It goes between 6.51 and 6.42 for the last few days. Don't think it'll be high enough to ribbon, but my best ever though, so I am thrilled, expecially with the 3 favorites and all the wonderfull comments. |

Well I am happy to say that the secret to the update button is to click it real fast as many times as you can, and the score will be 'pumped up' lack of a better phrase.

Yeah the picture I posted was apparently too small. I tried so many times and then I finally got it to 149 kb on photobucket so I thought it would turn out like that on here. Well, everyone's leaving me these comments saying that it's too small. It won't take any pictures any larger though. So I am frustrated :p
