Our local art museum held an event today called "Art on the Avenue." It was held on the lawn of the art museum. There were a lot of artists and musicians working and performing. I didn't get to stay as long as I would normally have, but it was entertaining. When you look at these images, you will see where my attention went. The belly dancers absolutely captivated me. The combination of sound and motion was overpowering in many ways. I'm going to try to hook up with these people and give them some photography in exchange for the opportunity to shoot again...

I have in my community the same type of events as well, called "Art in the Park"....among other cultural events...they make wonderful streets shots...hmmm, bellydancers!....again, I have dancers in my town. I have to agree, I have about over 500 shots of them as they make great practice models of shooting action shots...

I really like the one with the lady on horseback and a basket on her head.
