HAAAAAAAAAAAA.....................(a laugh not unlike a sea faring pirate, but without the 'arrrr'.)
HA, I have shown my metal submission to a TOP producer in the place where dreams are made... "HOLLYWOOD"!
So this producer instantly got on his cell phone, talked some producer language (not unlike jibberish, but more like crap) and right there, and then promised to sign me up for a possible, but not firm, 10 film deal, on just one look at my metal submission.
He started to cry, in some emotion I haven't figured out yet, and said with tears comming down his face "why me God, why me?" as if this was the deal of a lifetime for him.
I may be signing sometime soon, it sounded really positive especially the way he told me to wait for his call.
I can see my submission going from "Metal", to the sequel "Metal; Its hard", and maybe a prequel "Metal; return of the rust". Get a television deal, go into syndication. Get a great side deal with merchandising, a few commercials here and there. Multi-language markets, airlines, then finally the rental biz.
Yeah, yeah, I know.... your all jealous. I'll remember most of you little metal submissions when I am riding in my limo down Sunset Blvd.. Just email me, and I will send you a photocopy of my autograph on my submission.
No need to go on for the rest of you, just quit right now so that you won't be embarressed when I get both the blue ribbon, and the Oscar.

Sorry you were DQ'd. I thought of pulling mine to save myself the shame of such a low score;)
462 now!!!! and there's soooo much time left...Can we just pick a winner at random so we don't all end up with repetitive strain injury, catteracts, bad back's and an allergy to anything metal? |

watch out slippy - my photograph is such an epiphany of greatness that the DPC servers had to request i toned now its amplitude of infinate greatness before they could accept it along side your mediocre competition.

My submission looks pretty good, even if looking through bloodshot eyes. GL you guys may need it! I am the new guy in town so I wont run off with the mouth quite yet, besides I hardly have a foundation to stand on. If I had one of those fancy cameras life would certainly be easier. LOL. - GL again, i cant wait to vote.

i'm really bad at this because i have low self confidents about my work........but i can try to be painfull honest i'm good at that.
my metal submittion is slightly out of focus which is why voters will go blind look for a sharp spot....it also has the worst contrast i have ever edited i must have been more asleep than normal.....
+ it made me cry so hard when i was done i think it just might cause ppl. to shoot the camera from my hands after the find out who took it....

oh man, i just remembered about this challenge 30 minutes before the deadline. i had already taken the pics and they were still on my cf card but i forgot about it and quickly editted them in ps just now. i dont think i'll score that well, but i just wanted to participate in a challenge this week

Um, God just called me and although he normally has a policy about good deeds not being enough, he said my metal picture was SOOOO good, he'd make this one exception. Sorry guys, competition is over!

I COULDN'T TAKE IT! I had to enter something! 15 minutes to go, run around get a couple ideas, shoot away, yank card, upload, quick crop & minor adjustments - sweat rolling down my brow - ...SUBMIT. Aaaaaaah.
Haven't entered a challenge in quite awhile and am having withdrawals. Or maybe DPCOCD.

I decided to participate after seeing 500+ entries... got an idea at 22:30 server time, shot it at 23:08, basic-edited and submitted at 23:35... I think there were 502 when I went to home page afterwards...
and the first vote is 5. How anticlimactic...

I'm off to a slow start, but so was my famous Triangles submission, which, as we all know, ended up getting the first ever perfect 10 in DPC history. I'm betting my Metal submission gets the first ever past-perfect 11.

I was so disappointed with the metal challenge overall. If I see one more rusty something or other, I think I may scream.
At least your entries showed up. I have had mine there since day 2, and suddently it's missing. There is not reason for it to be DQ'ed so I have no clue. WAH-
