Wasn't my subject title just so appealing you had to click on it?
:-)
I've got some new portfolio entries, tell me what you think.
The stereotypical flower shot...

I want to say that I don't like the flower shot (funky edit one) but I just can't...it is a fine example of looking at something that has been beat to death but presenting it in another way. It sets a mood, not wedding or kitchen table-ish flower but a whole other side of what flowers can be... Great Job.
The garage scene is pretty cool...I can almost smell the grease in a shot like this...I might have glowed it just a tad bit more...I not sure about the reflection on the side of the car (man I miss my El Camino) if it is the noise or what but the patterns seem a bit wierd.
Great Job...
even your stereotypical flower shot is more than stereotypical it has a feeling about it that put one in the shot instead of throwing the flowers in the viewers face.

I really like the funky edit shop flower, but I like to see things that are different and original!

I really like both of those flower versions. The deep colors work very well for either shot. You have such a talented "eye" for making your shots interesting. |

I've already commented on all of those and like each one. I love your use of light (and lack thereof). It creates a deep brooding mood, no matter what the subject matter. |

Sweet! I want to be able to make ordinary mung look like extraordinary art. As usual you've managed to put your spin on these last two shots. I'm calling the cops on you, because I'm quite sure there's a dead body in that car!

Joey, you continue to amaze me (and others I'm sure) with your ability to get the absolute most out of your subjects and equipment. I really like the flower shots - not as crazy about the car shot, but it does really make a powerful statement... as usual, exquisitely composed and I agree with one of the other commenters that you really can "smell" the grease!
Nice work again... And if you ever need a job processing somebody else's photographs, please let me be the first in line! :-)
