Unbelievable! The DMTC people are out and about on the 'Fantasy World' challenge.
I've rec'd a comment that the entry is a 'Concept' not a 'Fantasy'. Without quoting the dictionary - Fantasy, Concept...pretty darn related it appears.
My take on looking at the images is to ask myself - "Is this image something that is of this world, or is it a fantasy?" If it's something that could only happen or be on/in a fantasy world, then hey, it fits.
Geez. Let's nitpick some more.

DMTC means that TPDNMTC so they automatically will VTID and give it a LS which means there will be less chance of a R.

Perhaps I should have made it DNMTC...
Doesn't Meet The Challenge.

What I find funny about this post is that you're complaining because someone has their own opinion of the challenge that you do not agree with and then go on to limit the challenge based on your own personal opinion. |

You're right. I shouldn't have posted my opinion/take on what the challenge description means to me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course. Didn't think that this challenge was very hard to decipher whether entries met the challenge or not.
Biggest complaint was the near terms of Concept vs Fantasy. If a fantasy isn't real, then one must conceptualize... ;^)

Hmmm.... I have a limited brain..I guess.
I don't think like a lot of these people. I can't think of anyone who does. |

It may not be very hard but opinions vary. You disagree with the comment that was left on your image and I disagree with your opinion of what meets the challenge or not. If we all agreed what met the challenge within a very limited scope then all the entries would be the same, which would make for a very boring challenge.
Fantasy is a very large concept that covers fantasy, science fiction, horror, surrealism, and many more. Fantasy is also largely based on things in the real world and since it is impossible to take a picture of something that doesnt exist then in my opinion the challenge was to create the illusion of something else with an overall theme or feel of a fantasy setting.
You can find in this world people with hairy feet, old men with beards and a hat, men with large guns, females with large breasts and a gun, people with haematomania, ghosts etc etc. Does that mean they dont work in a fantasy setting because they already exist in this world?

One (and very common) problem with this challenge that its name (fantasy) and its description (out of this world) are not identical, so if some people choose to just go with the title, it irritates people which go by the description. Some people's fantasies can be quite realistic, you know... :)

In essence, it sounds like you agree with me - this challenge is pretty wide open and shouldn't be very hard to decipher whether entries meet the challenge or not.
Nice opinion...thanks.
