Greetings...
1st Annual North Carolina DPC Photographer Bash
Over 4 months away, but plan now :) I will be adding more information to that link soon, including airport info and directions into town and the event sites. I will also suggest some hotels other than the downtown sites so you/I can save a few bucks. I live about an hour out of Charlotte but I plan to spend the weekend down there for this event.
If you plan to attend, let me know and I'll add you to the list. If you tentatively plan to attend, let me know also :)

I travel to charlotte pretty much monthly - my company is hq'd there. If the stars align right, I'll try to be there that week and stay over. |

add nards656 and I to the list of "possible attendees." Saturday shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure about Friday and Sunday. |

Any idea of what the current one-day admission/parking fees are at Carowinds?
Just as info for everyone, including me :)

I didn't see how much the parking fee is. It's probably about $5.

John,
Another tentative yes here. I'll have to make plans for the children to be spoiled by their grandparents...

I'd like to attend and take some mediocre shots if possible. I have good friends in Charlotte and am down there 5-6 times a year, anyway, so this gives me a good excuse to hit the road.
There are many cool places in Charlotte, and John has certainly picked quite a few good ones. And Ri-Ra...couldn't be better. Last time I was there, they had a roasted beef shank that would make you sass yo mama.

John, I updated my profile to add my name so I won't be the mystery man on the list...
Thanks

It's one of my favorite places downtown and I think everyone will find something to their taste there for sure. You can eat cheap or you can eat expensive in this place. The menu and prices are on their website.

The Dunhill is another great hotel. Just down from the museum too.
One of my favorites when I'm in town.
As I mentioned before, I'm a frequent visitor. |

Yep. Put me down and 1 guest for my better half. So anyone else considering bringing kids or is this a chance for the adults to run away together?

Sweet! Its about time someone organizes something in ol' North Cakalaka. I go to school up in Boone at App state and my roomate is from charlotte. I will more than likely be able to work out getting down there that weekend. Should be awesome. |

WooHOO, someone from Tweetsie Tech!! (I went there from 1989 to 1992, then transferred to WCU)
Kids -- don't know yet. Might bring our 3 (almost 4 by that time) yo, but our little girl will only be 8 mos or so, so they may get to stay with the grandparents! |
